PU COAT

Top-class polyurethane membrane for roofs, balconies, terraces

PU-COAT is a single-component, liquid-applied polyurethane-based coating. When reacted with atmospheric moisture, it forms a strong, highly elastic and completely waterproof membrane.

• Thermal stability: The membrane does not soften or stick even at high temperatures ( +80 °C ).

• Excellent adhesion: Adheres well to most surfaces without primer (however, special primers are available for specific needs).

• Breathable: Allows water vapor to pass through, so moisture does not accumulate under the coating.

• Energy saving: White color has a high reflectivity of solar energy, which significantly reduces the temperature inside the building in summer.

AREAS OF USE

Designed for waterproofing surfaces where high hydrophobicity is required:

• Roofs, terraces and balconies.
  

• Flower beds, irrigation canals, bridges and parking lots.

• Cellars, tanks and cut & cover tunnels.

• Roofs insulated with polyurethane foam.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Consumption: At least 1.5 – 1.8 kg/m².

• Layer thickness: It is recommended not to exceed 0.7 - 0.8 kg per layer (to avoid bubbles).

• Drying time: Surface film formation within 4 hours (at 23 °C), full hardening within 12–24 hours.

• Elasticity: Elongation at break – 780% .

• Hardness: 81 (Shore A).

• Operating temperature: From -40 °C to +90 °C (short-term resistance up to +220 °C).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Surface preparation: The surface must be dry, firm, free of dust, oil or other contaminants. Old coatings must be removed. Important: do not wash the surface with water immediately before application. The recommended concrete moisture content is less than 5% . It is recommended to seal cracks with PU-SEAL sealant.

Priming: Although the coating can be used without a primer, PRIMER-1K is recommended to improve the properties of concrete. For wet concrete, use Primer EPW , and for bituminous coatings, use Primer-2K.

Application: Apply in 2-3 layers. Interval between layers: 3 to 48 hours . In order to reinforce corners, joints or cracked surfaces, it is recommended to use it together with GEOTEXTILE/FIBERGLASS fabric.

Dilution: Can only be diluted with SOLVENT PU thinner. Never dilute with water.
